The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Colombo celebrated the National Day of the State of Qatar on Monday (18/12/2017) at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo.

A high level Delegation headed by H.E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani Minister of Economy and Commerce of Qatar participated in the Second Session of the Qatar –Sri lanka Joint Economic Commerce and Technical Commission held in Colombo during 30-31 October 2017 .

HE Ambassador Rashid Bin Shafea Al Marri met Mr.Prasad Kariyawasam Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka and discussed the issues related to the bilateral relations between two countries

Sri Lanka's Parliament Speaker Karu Jayasuriya met Thursday with HE Qatar's Ambassador to Sri Lanka Rashid bin Shafie Al Marri. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them in addition to topics of common interest.

HE Ambassador Rashid Bin Shafea Al Marri met Hon. Labour Minister W.D.J. Seneviratne and discussed the issues related to the bilateral relations between two countries.
