On the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar which falls on December 18, the Embassy organized a Reception Ceremony at the ITC Ratnadipa Hotel in Colombo.Hon. Harshana Nanayakara, Minister of Justice and National Integration of Sri Lanka, participated as the chief guest of this event. A number of Minsters and Members of the Parliament of Sri Lanka graced this occasion.

As part of the State of Qatar’s humanitarian efforts, the Qatar Charity office in Sri Lanka with funding from the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), distributed 1,800 food packs to families affected by Cyclone Dithwa in Colombo.
