The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Colombo celebrated Qatar’s National Sports Day on 11 February 2025 at Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo, based on the vision of H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar to raise awareness on the importance of sports and its role in the life of the individuals and community as a platform for a healthy life.

H.E. the Ambassador Jassim bin Jaber J.B. Al-Sorour attended the Reception on the occasion of the Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and National Day of Iran hosted by the Embassy of Iran in Colombo at “Shangri-La” Hotel on Monday (10).

The Arab Diplomatic Corps in Sri Lanka hosted a lunch banquet on Wednesday (5) at the Kingsbury hotel Colombo in honor of H.E. Mr. Ihab Khalil, on the occasion of his appointment as the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Sri Lanka.

H.E. the Ambassador Jassim bin Jaber J.B Al- Sorour attended Republic Day Celebration of India hosted by the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day of India on Sunday (26).

H.E. Ambassador Jassim bin Jaber J.B. Al-Sorour, in his capacity as Dean of the Diplomatic Corps received H.E. Mr. Ihab Khalil, Ambassador-designate of the State of Palestine to Sri Lanka, at the Embassy today (22).
