The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Colombo celebrated the National Day of the State of Qatar  on   Monday (18/12/2017) at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo. The celebrations held with the participation of Hon. Faiszer Musthafa, Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government as the chief guest representing the Government of Sri Lanka. Hon. Karu Jayasuriya, Speaker of the parliament of Srilanka.   Hon. Arjuna Ranthnga  Minister of Petroleum Resources Development, Hon. Abdul Haleem, Minister of Post, Postal Services and Islamic Affairs. Hon Chandima Weerakkody Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training. Hon. Mohamed Fowzie State Minister  of integration and reconciliation. And a large number of Members of the Sri Lankan parliament.

The celebrations also attended by Arab and foreign Ambassadors, Heads of International Organizations accredited to Sri Lanka and the Staff of the Embassy, ​​as well as a large number of businessmen, press, media and Dignitaries in the Sri lankan community .
