A high level Delegation headed by H.E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani Minister of Economy and Commerce of Qatar participated in the Second Session of the Qatar –Sri lanka Joint Economic Commerce and Technical Commission  held in Colombo during 30-31 October 2017 .

Industry and Commerce Minister of Sri lanka Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen led the Sri Lankan side in the above Session.

Both Qatar and Sri Lanka refocused on breaking their present low trade threshold and looked to move towards crucial trade engagement in agriculture, power and investment. Both Ministers also signed on the agreed minutes of the in-depth two day discussions.
