On the occasion of the repatriation of 265 Sri Lankans from Qatar to their homeland after they underwent free PCR test in Doha, His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Colombo Jassim Bin Jaber Al-Sorour praised the excellent bilateral relations between Qatar and Sri Lanka, stressing that Sri Lanka deserves stronger relations.

The Ministry of Foreign Relations of the Republic of Sri Lanka expressed its sincere gratitude to the State of Qatar, especially to the Foreign Ministry of Qatar, the Ministry of Public Health, the Public Health Care Corporation, and the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Sri Lanka Jassim Bin Jaber Al-Suroor in providing PCR testing free of charge for Sri Lankan citizens who have been deported to the country recently.
