New measures for opening tourism for tourists wishing to visit Sri Lanka

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Colombo presents its compliments to those wishing to visit Sri Lanka and has the honor to inform the following updated quarantine measures for travelers arriving in Sri Lanka:

 

  • Travelers who have received the recommended doses of COVID-19 vaccine and departs from abroad two weeks after completion of vaccination, are not required to undergo a 14-day quarantine, if the On Arrival PCR (Day One) test report is “Negative”. 

  • Travelers will be transferred to a quarantine center managed by the Government of Sri Lanka or to a hotel designated for quarantine or to a Safe & Secure Certified Level 1 hotel, and they will undergo On Arrival PCR (Day One) test. If the report is “Negative”, they will be released from quarantine.

  • Travelers who have received the recommended doses of vaccination must carry the original vaccination certificate / card or verifiable evidence of vaccination in English.

  • All travelers arriving in Sri Lanka should mandatorily carry a negative PCR test report in English language done within 72 hours prior to embarkation.

  • Travelers who have not received COVID-19 vaccination/ not completed the recommended doses of vaccination/ departed from abroad within less than two weeks after completion of recommended doses of vaccination, will be mandatorily quarantined until completion of 14 days.

  • Travelers arriving via Sri Lanka Tourism, should obtain Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) using the protocol stipulated in following Sri Lanka Tourism website. https://www.srilanka.travel/helloagain/
