On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, it gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to H.E. the President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Government and the friendly people of Sri Lanka.
Qatar and Sri Lanka enjoy excellent bilateral relations since the establishment of the Diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1976.
The relations between the two countries further strengthened and developed under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.
I also wish the relations between Qatar and Sri Lanka further progress and prosperity, in a way that achieves the interests of the both countries and meets the aspirations of the peoples of the both countries.
