The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Colombo celebrated Qatar’s National Sports Day on 13 February 2024 at Royal College Sports Complex in Colombo, based on the vision of H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar to raise awareness on the importance of sports and its role in the life of the individuals and community as a platform for a healthy life.

The National Sports Day events were held under the patronage of H.E. Jassim bin Jaber J.B Al-Sorour, Ambassador of the State of Qatar, and the participation of number of heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to Sri Lanka, Staff Members of the Embassy and Qatar Charity office in Colombo.
